The Highland Theatre
The Highland Theatre, at 7859 S. Ashland Avenue on Chicago's south side, had been converted to a church when the photos below were taken, in 1992.
For these photos, I'm indebted to some guy named Wayne. Unfortunately, I no longer remember his full name. I have the vague recollection that we met at the Granada, when we were both taking photos of the demolition. If I recall correctly, Wayne knew someone at the Brighton, and had made arrangments to take some photos there, and asked me if I wanted to go. We eventually went to the Highland, the Beverly, and the Hamilton as well.
So, Wayne: Wherever you are, thanks.
