Brickworld Photographs
The photos below were taken at two succesive Brickworld Chicago LEGO exhibitions, held in June 2010 and June 2011.
For the uninitiated, Brickworld is an annual exhibition of LEGO models, complete with competitions, seminars, and more tiny plastic bricks than you've ever seen in your life.
Geek heaven, for certain.
My personal favorites: Imagine Ripley's "Rapture," seen in Set 2; Nathan Flood's "U-595 in Drydock," also in Set 2; LEGO stained glass, by PointyKitty Studios, and Halo Master Chief by Benjamin Caulkins, both in Set 3; and the Tet Offensive attack on the U.S. Embassy, by Joseph Popelka, in Set 4.
